Contract:          NSG Training Advisor, Full-time, Permanent

Salary:               From £20,000-£30,000 per annum

Hours:                37 per week

Annual leave:    36 per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays

Pension:            NEST Pension Scheme

About the role                                               

The role is full time (37 hours), permanent, full time.  

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join College as a Apprenticeship Training Advisor in Mechanical Engineering.

 

The successful candidate will have:  

  • Level 3 or equivalent in relevant mechanical engineering occupational area- Essential
  • English and Maths GCSE grade C or above- or equivalent - Essential
  • TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards- Essential
  • Teaching qualification – Desirable.
  • Award in Internal Verification or V1- Desirable.To have good time management and organisational skills.
  • Empathy with young people.
  • Desire to assist learners achieve their career and learning aspirations.
  • High level of self-motivation - ability to work on own initiative.
  • Clear proactive approach to planning, organising, prioritising workload.
  • Good problem solving / decision making skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus. 
  • Ability to achieve deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to motivate others and influence work behaviours.
  • To have current relevant experience of teaching Engineering and Construction Apprenticeships programmes.
  • To have data management experience.
  • Practical occupational experience as required by Code of Practice and relevant awarding bodies.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving performance targets.
  • Proven track record of imparting skills and learning to others.
  • Knowledge of monitoring sub contracted provision - desirable.
  • Must have use of a car and hold a current driving licence
  • Be able to work flexible hours and locations as required
