About the role                                               

This role is full time – 37 hours, permanent.

Multi-disciplined Training Adviser, education experience is not essential, full training and support can be given to the right candidate to be part of a growing and dynamic team.

Northern Skills Group (Middlesbrough College's apprenticeship arm) works with over 2000 employers in the North East and Yorkshire delivering over 100 types of programmes. Our experienced team have trained over 2,200 apprentices putting us in a strong position to help shape the economic landscape of the region.

We are a positive and ambitious College, with a strategy to continue to expand our offer and invest in our £100m campus. Since relocating to Middlehaven in 2008, we have continued to develop our outstanding facilities including our sixth form centre, MC6, and £20m STEM Engineering Centre.

 

The successful candidate will have:  

  • Level 3 or equivalent in relevant electrical occupational area.
  • English and Maths GCSE grade C or above- or equivalent.
  • TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards.
  • Ability to achieve deadlines and targets.
  • Empathy with young people.
  • Desire to assist learners achieve their career and learning aspirations.
  • High level of self-motivation - ability to work on own initiative.
  • Clear proactive approach to planning, organising, prioritising workload.
  • Good problem solving / decision making skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Practical occupational experience as required by Code of Practice and relevant awarding bodies.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving performance targets.
