We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing to join our Marketing department. This pivotal role offers the chance to provide strategic leadership across marketing, internal and external communications, school liaison, and admissions. The position is integral to enhancing Middlesbrough College Group’s standing, reputation, and brand, while ensuring student recruitment targets are met. What You’ll Be Doing:

As an Executive Director of Student Recruitment & Marketing, you will:

  • Oversee Middlesbrough College Group’s corporate marketing strategy and public relations, focusing on enhancing the Group’s reputation and developing its brand.
  • Take responsibility for student recruitment, including overseeing and developing annual recruitment plans and long-term strategies for all the Group’s brands to achieve student number targets.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Group’s schools liaison activity, ensuring the team works proactively with local schools and careers providers to deliver planned activities annually.
  • Manage the creation of integrated marketing communications campaigns tailored to the needs of target markets and internal customers such as managers, departments, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the Group adopts a digital-first marketing approach where appropriate, embedding these skills across the team. Ensure AI is utilised appropriately in line with policies and guidelines.
  • Oversee the production and delivery of high-quality, accurate publicity and promotional materials, including prospectuses, ensuring compliance with brand, visual identity, style, and messaging guidelines.

 

What We’re Looking For:

We seek candidates who:

  • Hold a degree, higher degree, or a relevant professional qualification at Level 6 or above, such as a CIM in Marketing.
  • Possess a literacy and numeracy qualification at Level 2 or above.
  • Ideally, have a leadership qualification.
  • Have proven experience of working at a strategic level in marketing, preferably within an educational setting or a large organisation, with responsibility for creating strategic plans aligned to organisational goals and ensuring their successful implementation.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate, explain, persuade, and negotiate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Can showcase a strong track record of providing strategic leadership across diverse marketing, recruitment, and communication initiatives.
